Mixed Emotions Club: A Space for Intersectional Feminism

“Ain’t I a Woman?” — Sojourner Truth’s powerful words continue to echo through time, reminding us of the layered struggles faced by womxn of color. As Yuderkys Espinosa Miñoso, a key voice in decolonial feminism, reminds us: “Feminism that does not question coloniality and racism will always be incomplete.”

At MEC, we want to move beyond the limitations of white feminism and center an intersectional approach—one that recognizes how race, gender, class, sexuality, and other identities intertwine to shape our lives. We believe intersectionality is the only path toward a more just and equitable future.

This event will feature an interview with Coach Anastasia, who will share her unique perspective on life in Berlin among other topics, alongside a dynamic twerkout session, and an open talk and discussion where every non-white voice is encouraged to contribute and white ones are kindly asked to listen.
